This memorial park is located at RMHX+GJQ, 1151 River St in Valdosta, about 25 miles from Adel. The park has several picnic spaces and grills where you can cook up some food. There’s also a playground for the kids to run around and have fun, as well as an amphitheater and basketball courts where you can engage in more structured activities.
But if you have energetic little ones in tow and want to check out another park nearby, you can visit Taylor-Cowart Memorial Park located at Habersham Rd. 2. Explore Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area
Grand Bay is located at 4649 Knight Academy Rd #4641 in Valdosta, less than a 40-minute drive from Adel. The gates open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays and weekdays except for Mondays when the park is closed. On Sundays, the gates open from 12-7 PM.
At Grand Bay, you can take on hiking trails, take part in managed hunting, or fish at the lake. If you prefer a more leisurely experience, a picnic shelter is available from where you can enjoy a meal while soaking in the natural surroundings.
3. Experience What Tifton Has To Offer
There are several fantastic places you should check out in Tifton. Firstly, you can visit the Georgia Museum of Agriculture at 1392 Whiddon Mill Rd. There, you can learn about the technology of the 19th Century through interactive exhibits. You also get to see agricultural artifacts and learn about the history of farming in the American South.
Once you’ve finished exploring the museum, consider heading over to Tift County Lanes Inc, just a quick five-minute drive away at 105 Parkway Dr. This bowling alley is open from 12-11 PM on most days and offers a perfect way to unwind after a day of learning at the museum.
